The Blind Governor

Last week, Fred Armisen of SNL picked on New York's governor in a skit about his drug addiction and disability.  Viewers find the drug addiction part of the skit okay but many find the disability part out of line.  Well, everyone on this earth has some form of disability and I, for one, has polio.  I make fun of my disability and some of my closest friends makes fun of me sometimes but it does not offend me.  I think it's all about the intention of the one making fun. On one hand, if the intention is simply to insult someone, then I think it's out of line.  On the other hand, if the intention is good in nature, then I think it's all good.  Life is so short and if you do not know how to laugh at your disabilities sometimes, then I feel so sorry for you.  What do you think?

Corruption

Corruption in government is happening everywhere, even here in the good ol’ USA.  Look what’s going on in Illinois with their governor!  Wherever you go, corruption in government is very common and it’s been like that since the beginning of time.  When God was in the process of creating life, depending on what you believe in, the angel Lucifer started to corrupt the minds of humans, God’s most precious creation.  Why is corruption, after all these time, still so rampant and widespread?  Is it because the devil continued to corrupt the human mind and never really stopped from doing so?  Not everyone resorts to corruption.  Does this mean that the devil is picky, only choosing certain people he wants to commit corruption?  If this is really the case, then the question must be asked.  If you believe in theism then the question is, what is God doing about it?  Can’t he just command the devil to stop making people commit corruption?!  Can we really look up to God on this one or is it just fair to state what is true, the fact that we only have ourselves to blame, because in the end it is us humans who made the call.  What do you think?

Santa Claus

During the holidays, we adults have different  ways of explaining to kids who Santa Claus is. Mine is simply telling them  the truth!  I tell them that Santa is a male member of their family, or female if all the males are dead or unavailable, who sneaks up into the christmas tree on christmas eve with gifts, trying to make them, the kids, think that there is a fat guy in a red suit from The North Pole that really cares and wants to make them happy on Christmas Day!  I think it's best for children to realize who the real giver is and that he or she is a real person that they know and not some fake character!  I think it's time to get rid of that Santa Claus character! What do you think?

Shooting in Mumbai

Hey folks, did you see what they did to the guy responsible for the shooting?  They beat the living day lights out of him!  Do you think that was the right thing to do?  I think they should have just put him in a small room full of cobras and just let the snakes do their thing!  What do you think?
